Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of a Chalk Board Pavement Sign?
Unlike printed signs, a chalkboard allows for instant updates. You can change your "Special of the Day," promote a flash sale, or write a witty message to engage passersby in seconds. They offer a rustic, traditional aesthetic that suggests a personal, artisan touch to your business.
Are these signs weather-resistant for outdoor use?
Yes. Our chalkboard frames are manufactured from solid timber that has been treated with a weather-protective lacquer. The chalkboard panels are moisture-resistant, ensuring they won't warp or "fur" when exposed to the British rain. However, we always recommend bringing them inside during extreme gales to prevent them from blowing over.
What is the best way to clean the chalkboard surface?
For a clean, "ghost-free" finish, we recommend using a damp microfiber cloth. If you are using traditional chalk, water is usually enough. If you use liquid chalk pens, a specialized chalkboard cleaner or a mild glass cleaner will help remove any stubborn pigment without damaging the writing surface.
